Joe Dimiglia (died 2008) was a caporegime in the Gambino crime family under John Gotti.
Biography[]
Joe Dimiglia was born in New York City, New York to an Italian family, and he became a hitman in the Gambino crime family. In 1973, Dimiglia was sent to kill Gambino soldier Ralph Galione for his sloppy handling of the hit on James McBratney, and he shot him several times with a silenced pistol in front of his Brooklyn home. In 1985, Dimiglia was one of the gunmen sent to whack Don Paul Castellano for Gotti, assisting Gotti in seizing power. After Castellano was killed, Gotti promoted him to capo. He died in 2008.
