The Jino are a Chinese ethnic group from Yunnan province on China's borders with Burma and the autonomous region of Tibet. The Jino were only recognized as an ethnic group in 1979, as there were only 22,000 Jino people in China. Most live in Jinghong City, and they are known for their tooth painting. Most of them practice animism or Buddhism.
