
Jin Matsubara (born 31 July 1956) was a Japanese politician who served in the House of Representatives from 25 June 2000.
Biography[]
Jin Matsubara was born in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan on 31 July 1956, and he served in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly for Ota from 1989 to 1996 as a member of the LDP until 1994 and of the New Frontier Party from 1994 to 1996. He then affiliated himself with the Sun Party from 1996 to 1998, the Good Governance Party in 1998, the DPJ from 1998 to 2017, Kibo no To from 2017 to 2018, and the CDP from 2019. Matsubara was a nationalist, denying the occurrence of the Rape of Nanking and the use of chemical weapons against China during the Second Sino-Japanese War.
