Biography[]
Jimmy Boca was born in Miami, Florida in 1953, and he came from a working-class Italian family. He exhibited signs of schizophrenia at a young age, and, during the 1980s, he became a cocaine dealer based out of the Sun Ray Hotel in South Beach, Miami Beach. He amassed a small fortune and bought a helicopter in order to fly in an out of Miami with drugs. By 1983, the proprietor of the Sun Ray Hotel had grown tired of the weekly shootings, and asked Tony Montana to deal with the unstable drug dealer upstairs so that customers would start coming back. Montana met Boca at his apartment, where Boca proved to be unstable due to his rapid-fire quick-talking, his paranoia, his intrusive questions, and his threats. Montana and Boca's conversation was interrupted when Gomez Cartel members Segundino Ybarra Orta and Dante Prieto Márquez crashed the meeting with guns drawn, so a paranoid Boca sprayed them with gunfire and escaped to his car. Montana shot his way through some other Gomez gang members and chased Boca down to the trailer park, where Boca attempted to escape in a helicopter. Before Boca could make it far, Montana shot him down with just a few rounds from his AR-15.
