Jim Meehan

Jim "the Rat" Meehan (died 1920) was an Irish-American bootlegger who was affiliated with the Chicago Outfit during the Prohibition era. After the murder of boss Louis Costillo by his lieutenant Johnny Lovo, Meehan rejected Lovo's leadership, resulting in Lovo's right-hand man Tony Camonte shooting up Meehan's Shamrock Cafe and riddling the bootlegger with bullets; his partner Berdini was killed. Meehan survived and was taken to the hospital, only for Camonte to shoot him dead in his hospital room, having concealed his gun in a bouquet of flowers.
