Jim Jordan

James Daniel "Jim" Jordan (born 17 February 1964) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R) from Ohio's 4th district from 3 January 2007, succeeding Mike Oxley.

Biography[]

James Daniel Jordan was born in Urbana, Ohio in 1964, and he graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Ohio State University, and Capital University. Jordan worked as an assistant wrestling coach with the Ohio State University wrestling program before entering politics, being elected to the Ohio General Assembly in 1994 as a Republican Party member. In 2000, he was elected to the State Senate, and then to the US House of Representatives in 2006. Jordan voted consistently for anti-abortion legislation, frequently voted against the party leadership, opposed taxes, and opposed the investigation against President Donald Trump's ties to Russia.
