Biography[]

Jethro in 1992
Jethro Rampton was born in 1965 in Miami, Florida, and he was a person who frequently smoked marijuana with his friend Dwaine Harvey. During the 1980s, Rampton and Harvey used speedboats at the Miami boatyard to collect packages of "Jamaican smoke" for their use, bringing drugs into the United States for their consumption. In 1986, Tommy Vercetti bought the boatyard and decided to instead smuggle cocaine into America, and Rampton and Harvey decided to move to San Francisco in California after they were bought out. In 1989, Rampton met a hippie marijuana dealer named "The Truth" at the San Francisco Love-in, where Jethro and Dwaine smoked marijuana with "The Truth" and later remembered "polar bears" breaking into the liquor cabinet, with the trio having consumed a large quantity of drugs. Rampton worked at an Exxon gas station until Carl Johnson recruited him in 1992, with The Truth introducing CJ to the two. Dwaine and Jethro helped Carl at his garage, working as auto mechanics.
