Jesse Lazear

Jesse Lazear (12 December 1804-2 September 1877) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 20) from 4 March 1861 to 3 March 1863 (succeeding William Montgomery and preceding Amos Myers) and from PA-24 from 4 March 1863 to 3 March 1865 (succeeding John Patton and preceding George Van Eman Lawrence).

Biography[]

Jesse Lazear was born in Richhill Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania in 1804. He served as recorder of deeds of Greene County in 1829 to 1832, a bank cashier from 1835 to 1867, and in the US House of Representatives from 1861 to 1865 as a Democrat. He died in Baltimore, Maryland in 1877.
