Jerry "the Ferret" Verret (died 1968) was a Marcano crime family associate and enforcer under Pops Holland. Verret controlled a boxcar depot in New Orleans, allowing for Holland's crew to smuggle contraband into the city. In 1968, Lincoln Clay headed to the depot and shot Verret in the head with a pistol from a distance, surprising and killing him.
