Jerry Martinez (25 January 1950 – 1984) US Army sergeant who was involved in the Miami drug trade during the 1980s. In 1984, he was murdered by his former comrade Victor Vance, whom he had framed for his own corrupt activities.
Biography[]
Jerry Martinez was born in Mexico in 1950, and he was raised in Miami, Florida. He later joined the US Army to leave behind his poor neighborhood. He rose to the rank of Sergeant, but he was incredibly corrupt, using Private Victor Vance to retrieve drugs and solicit prostitutes for him until he had him framed and dishonorably discharged for his actions. An unemployed Vance turned to crime to earn money, and he stole a stash of cocaine believed to be owned by Martinez was stolen by Victor and his brother Lance Vance. However, the shipment belonged to the Mendez Cartel, who did business with Martinez, and the brothers lied about the theft and tried to frame Martinez by saying he was a DEA agent. Martinez debunked the lies and went into the Witness Protection Program under the name Sven Johansson, attempting to again frame Vance. However, Martinez was killed along with Diego Mendez and his bodyguards when Victor Vance stormed the Mendez compound.
