Jeremiah Morton (3 September 1799-28 November 1878) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-VA 9) from 4 March 1849 to 3 March 1851, succeeding John Pendleton and preceding James F. Strother. Born in Fredericksburg, he practiced law in Raccoon's Ford before serving in Congress. His village was destroyed in 1864, and he died in Lessland in 1878.
