Jenniffer Gonzalez

Jenniffer Gonzalez (5 August 1976-) was the Republican Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico from 3 January 2017, succeeding Pedro Pierluisi.

Biography[]

Jenniffer Aydin Gonzalez Colon was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1976, and she served as executive director of the Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico while studying at the University of Puerto Rico. She went on to enter politics with the New Progressive Party, serving in the House of Representatives from 2002 to 2017, as Chair of the Republican Party of Puerto Rico from 2015, and as Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico (a delegate to the US House of Representatives) from 2017. Gonzalez was a chair of "Latinos for Trump" during the 2020 presidential election, and she also endorsed Rick Scott's campaign for US Senate.
