Jeff Jackson

Jeff Jackson was a parishioner of Tony Spell's Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana during the 2020s. On 14 April 2021, he was interviewed by CNN correspondent Elle Reeve amid the COVID-19 pandemic, during which Spell refused to shift to remote church gatherings and preached against following COVID-19 guidelines. Jackson said that he was afraid about not going to church, as he feared that he might relapse on hard drugs, and he claimed that the state government had engineered the lockdown specifically to shut down the Life Tabernacle Church for being the "radical right", adding that the church did not believe in gay marriage or abortion. He also claimed that the vaccine was detrimental to one's health, and stated his belief that Bill Gates was trying to kill people with the vaccine, acknowledging that it may veer into the realm of conspiracy theories.
