D'Abbadie

Jean-Jacques Blaise d'Abbadie (1726-4 February 1765) was the French governor of Louisiana from 1763 to 1765. He was secretly an ally of the Knights Templar.

Biography[]

D'Abbadie was from France and became the governor of Louisiana in 1763. When he became governor, the Kingdom of France made peace with Great Britain, ending the French and Indian War/Seven Years War, and France was negotiating the surrender of Louisiana to the Kingdom of Spain. D'Abbadie made an agreement with the Knights Templar that if he supplied slaves and vagrants for a Templar operation in Mexico, the Templars would help him keep his lands French.

Death[]

Assassin Aveline de Grandpre found out about his plot to send away the slaves in exchange for Templar support, and she infiltrated his manor to put an end to his plans. She went into the palace disguised as a slave, and snuck into the estate itself. As she entered the governor's room, Rafael Joaquin de Ferrer, the top Templar agent, left, and she attacked Abbadie and his two guards. When Abbadie started to run, she chased him. She slashed him on the shoulder with a butcher knife and cut his throat, killing him. As he died he revealed his motives were to keep Louisiana under France's and his governorship, but Grandpre told him that he would use Templars to keep Louisiana Templar instead. He died, and Grandpre fled from the French guards.
