Jayvon Simson (1973-18 May 2008) was an African-American drug dealer and a member of the North Harlem Hustlers gang. In 1999, he informed the NYPD of Dwayne Forge's drug dealing operations, leading to Forge's arrest; in 2008, Forge had Simson murdered by Niko Bellic.
Biography[]
Jayvon Simson was born in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City in 1973 to a poor African-American family, and he grew up in the city housing projects. He was involved with crime from a young age, being arrested at the age of 14 in 1987 for possession of crack cocaine. He was again arrested in 1989 for crack possession, and in 1990 for assault on a police officer and in 1996 for tax evasion. Simson was a small time crack dealer during the crack boom of the early 1990s, and he avoided arrest by becoming an NYPD police informant. His testimony was crucial in several high-profile convictions including that of North Harlem Hustlers leader Dwayne Forge, and Simson began a relationship with Forge's ex-girlfriend Cherise Glover.
Death[]
In 2008, when Forge was released from prison, he was enraged when he discovered that Glover and Simson were in a relationship, and he hired Niko Bellic to assassinate Simson at an arcade in Chinatown, Manhattan, where he was spending time with Cherise. Simson attempted to flee on a motorcycle after Bellic confronted him and demanded that he repay Dwayne Forge's loans to Glover, but Bellic ran him down with a blue sports car and collected the money, bringing it to Forge at a chicken restaurant in Times Square.
