
Jaysh Halab ("Army of Aleppo") was a coalition of Syrian Opposition rebel groups that was founded in Aleppo, Syria on 1 December 2016 during the Syrian Civil War. The coalition was founded by Ahrar ash-Sham, and it came to include the Army of Mujahideen, FSA 16th Division, Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki, Sham Legion, Levant Front, Sultan Murad Division, and Jaysh al-Islam, uniting the 8,000 opposition fighters who fought against the Syrian Arab Army's 25,000 troops as the regime overwhelmed the city of Aleppo. Jaysh Halab also fought against the Syrian Democratic Forces and the YPG in the Sheikh Maqsoud district.
