Jarchiudai Uriankhai

Jarchiudai Uriankhai (1138-12 September 1196) was the Chancellor of Khangai in 1196, preceding Kadan Narantsetseg.

Biography[]

Jarchiudai Uriankhai was born in 1138 to the Uriankhai clan, a dynasty of Tengri Mongols. In 1196 he was appointed as chancellor for Temujin, who became the leader of Khangai that year after the murder of his father. Jarchiudai was the father of Chaurkhan Uriankhai and Subotai, who were also council members, and Subotai would go on to be an important Mongol general. He died on 12 September 1196 at the age of 58 from natural causes.
