Jamil of Thughra (27 October 1165-) was the Chancellor of the Kingdom of Jerusalem under Amalric II of Jerusalem.
Biography[]
Jamil was born on 27 October 1165 to a family of Sunni Muslim Levantines, and he became a courtier of the Kingdom of Jerusalem during the Third Crusade when the Christians conquered his homeland. He was appointed as the chancellor for Amalric II of Jerusalem in 1194. After the execution of Steward Sa'ud for being a heretic, he became angry with his lord, but this was sated when Lord Amalric II made him the Mayor of Thughra to regain his trust.
