James W. Miller (11 April 1924-20 September 1944) was a US Army private who served in Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division during World War II.
Biography[]
James W. Miller was born in Wabash, Indiana in 1924. He joined the US Army on 18 December 1942 and was trained as a paratrooper before being sent overseas in July 1944. He was assigned to Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division as a replacement, and he was killed by German shrapnel during Operation Market Garden.
