James W. Bradbury

James Ware Bradbury (10 June 1802 – 6 January 1901) was a US Senator from Maine (D) from 4 March 1847 to 3 March 1853, succeeding George Evans and preceding William P. Fessenden.

Biography[]

James Ware Bradbury was born in Parsonsfield, Maine in 1802, and he became a lawyer in Augusta, Maine in 1830. From 1847 to 1853, he served in the US Senate as a Democrat, and he became a trustee of Bowdoin College. He died in 1901.
