
James Strudwick Smith (8 September 1787-7 December 1852) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 8) from 4 March 1817 to 3 March 1821, succeeding Samuel Dickens and preceding Josiah Crudup.
Biography[]
James Strudwick Smith was born in Hillsboro, North Carolina in 1787, and he became a physician near Chapel Hill before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1817 to 1821. He died in 1852.
