
James Overstreet (11 February 1773-24 May 1822) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-SC 4) from 4 March 1819 to 24 May 1822, succeeding Joseph Bellinger and preceding Andrew R. Govan.
Biography[]
James Overstreet was born in Barnwell, South Carolina in 1773, and he practiced law before serving in the state house from 1808 to 1813 and in the US House of Representatives from 1819 until his death in 1822.
