
James McGrew (14 September 1813-18 September 1910) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-WV 2) from 4 March 1869 to 3 March 1873, succeeding Bethuel Kitchen and preceding John Hagans.
Biography[]
James McGrew was born in Brandonville, West Virginia in 1813, and he worked as a merchant and banker in Kingwood before attending the 1861 secession convention as an Unconditional Unionist. He served in the House of Delegates from 1863 to 1865, in the US House of Representatives from 1869 to 1873, and as Mayor of Kingwood from 1879 to 1880. McGrew died in 1910.
