James Madison Marvin (27 February 1809-25 April 1901) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 18) from 4 March 1863 to 3 March 1869, succeeding Chauncey Vibbard and preceding Stephen Sanford.

Biography[]

James Madison Marvin was born in Ballston, New York in 1809, and he moved to Saratoga Springs in 1828 and became a hotel proprietor. He served in the State Assembly in 1846, on the Board of Supervisors, in the US House of Representatives from 1863 to 1869, and as a bank president before dying in 1901.
