
James Lawrence Hogeboom (25 August 1766-23 December 1839) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 9) from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1825, succeeding Stephen Van Rensselaer and preceding William McManus. Born in Ghent, he worked as a physician in Pittstown and Castleton-on-Hudson before serving in the state assembly from 1804 to 1805 and in 1808, as a county judge, and in Congress.
