James Herron Hopkins

James Herron Hopkins (3 November 1831-17 June 1904) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 22) from 4 March 1875 to 3 March 1877 (succeeding James S. Negley and preceding Russell Errett) and from 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1885 (succeeding Errett and preceding Negley).

Biography[]

James Herron Hopkins was born in Washington, Pennsylvania in 1831, and he became a lawyer in Pittsburgh in 1852 before becoming involved in several business opportunities. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1875 to 1877 and from 1883 to 1885, and he went on to practice law in Washington DC before dying in Canada in 1904.
