
James Ford (4 May 1783-18 August 1859) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 9) from 4 March 1829 to 3 March 1833, preceding Henry A.P. Muhlenberg. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he moved to New York City, Lindley, New York, and then to Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Ford served in the state house in 1824 and 1825, operated mills at Lawrenceville, and served in Congress.
