James Earl Jones (17 January 1931-9 September 2024) was an American actor from Arkabutla, Mississippi. He made his Broadway debut in 1957, and he used his distinctive voice to become a voice actor, becoming famous for his roles in Star Wars and in The Lion King. Jones was a notable Hollywood conservative, listening to Fox News and not being supportive of President Barack Obama, the first black president of the USA.
