James De La Montanya (20 March 1798-29 April 1849) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 2) from 4 March 1839 to 3 March 1841, succeeding Abraham Vanderveer and preceding Joseph Egbert.
Biography[]
James De La Montanya was born in New York City and raised in Haverstraw, New York, and he served as Haverstraw supervisor from 1832 to 1833, in the State Assembly in 1833, and in the US House of Representatives from 1839 to 1841. He died in 1849.
