James Birdsall (1783-20 July 1856) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NY 15) from 4 March 1815 to 3 March 1817, succeeding Isaac Williams Jr. and Joel Thompson and preceding Williams and John R. Drake.

Biography[]

James Birdsall was borm in 1783, and he settled in Norwich, New York and became surrogate of Chenango County in 1811 and a member of the US House of Representatives from 1815 to 1817. He then served in the State Assembly in 1827 before moving to Fenton, Michigan in 1839 and later to Flint. He died in 1856.
