James Arnold Colescott (11 January 1897 – 11 January 1950) was Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan from 1939 to 1944, succeeding Hiram Wesley Evans and preceding Samuel Green.

James Arnold Colescott was born in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1897, and he worked as a veterinarian before joining the Ku Klux Klan in Vigo County. He became Grand Wizard in 1939 after Hiram Wesley Evans resigned, and he initiated several property sales to raise money for the Klan. However, he was unable to stop the exodus of members caused by the Great Depression and World War II, and he was forced to dissolve the Klan in 1944. He died in 1950.
