Biography[]

Jamal al-Asiri was born in Saudi Arabia, the younger brother of Islamic State-linked terrorist Khaled al-Asiri. Jamal was initially supportive of his brother's Islamist views and his terrorist connections, fighting as a jihadist, but he later he supplied the CIA with intelligence on his brother's location for a drone strike in exchange for the United States protecting his family (his 12-year-old brother Amir was sent on a suicide mission, and Jamal wanted to protect his 8-year-old brother from having the same fate). However, Khaled was not killed, and Jamal, his wife, children, and family were in danger because Khaled survived, seeking to find Jamal and take revenge, as well as to kill the Americans. IS attacked the US embassy in Riyadh as a result, but al-Asiri survived, fighting against his brother with US Marine Corps Corporal Albright and helping the embassy staff in escaping.
