Jalisco is a state of western Mexico, with Guadalajara serving as its capital. The state borders Nayarit, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Michoacan, and Colima, and it is known as the home of mariachi, ranchera music, the famous birria stew, tequila, and jaripeo bull riding, as well as for being rich with natural resources. In 2015, Jalisco had a population of 7,844,830 people.
