Jaime Naranjo

Jaime Naranjo (12 January 1951-) was a Chilean Socialist Party deputy from 1990 to 2002, Senator from 2002 to 2010, and deputy from 2018.

Biography[]

Jaime Naranjo was born in Melipilla, Chile in 1951, and he was an agrarian economist before working with human rights organizations to oppose Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship during the 1980s. He joined the Christian Left of Chile party before joining the Socialist Party of Chile in 1991, and he served in the Chamber of Deputies from 1990 to 2002 and from 2018 and in the Senate from 2002 to 2010.
