The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, also called the Central Park Reservoir, is a decommissioned reservoir in Central Park, Manhattan, New York City. During the 1850s, Central Park was planned around the existing Yorkville Reservoir, and a second reservoir, the Central Park Reservoir, was completed in 1862. While the Yorkville Reservoir was decommissioned in 1903 and demolished in the 1930s, the Upper Reservoir survived and was renamed in honor of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who enjoyed jogging in the area.
