
Jacob Markell (8 May 1770-26 November 1852) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-NY 14) from 1813 to 1815, succeeding Daniel Avery and preceding Daniel Cady.
Biography[]
Jacob Markell was born in Schenectady, New York in 1770, and he moved to Manheim in 1790 and served as town supervisor from 1797 to 1819 and from 1824 to 1829, Justice of the Peace, Judge of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, and in the US House of Representatives from 1813 to 1815. He died in 1852.
