Jacob Hostetter (9 May 1754-29 June 1831) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 4) from 16 November 1818 to 3 March 1821, succeeding Jacob Spangler and preceding James S. Mitchell.

Biography[]

Jacob Hostetter was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania in 1754, and he worked as a clock manufacturer before serving in the general assembyl from 1797 to 1802 and in the US House of Representatives from 1818 to 1821. He later moved to New Lisbon and Canton in Ohio, and he died in 1831. His son Jacob Hostetter Jr. followed him into politics.
