Jack Hamilton (born 1811) was a US Army cadet who attended West Point during the 1830s. In 1830, when Cadet Edgar Allan Poe told Cadet Llewellyn Lee that another cadet had attempted to encourage him to doubt Christianity, Hamilton asked if the cadet was Cadet Artemus Marquis, earning him a rebuke from Lee, but enabling Poe to investigate Marquis' possible interest in the occult as it related to the murder and evisceration of Cadet Leroy Fry.
