His parents appeared when they were 15 years old in a fire that resulted from him starting to live alone and then traveling the world. At some point, he met Fabrizio De Rossi, probably in Italy, and became his best friend, even traveling together. Growing up, he went to Monterey, California, where he worked on a boat, and then to the Santa Monica Pier, California, where he drew portraits for 10 cents a piece. According to him, Jack lived for a time in Paris.
On board Titanic[]
Jack Dawson boarded the RMS Titanic on April 10, 1912. He was a poor third-class artist and was only able to board the ship after winning tickets in a lucky game of poker, along with Fabrizio. In his first days on the Titanic, he was able to enjoy his luxury and spend time with Fabrizio and a new friend, Tommy, until one day he met Rose DeWitt Bukater, a first class passenger, trying to commit suicide by trying to jump from the stern. ship's. She intended to commit suicide due to her lifestyle and her forced marriage to Caledon Hockley.
Jack encouraged Rose not to jump out of the ship, and when she was about to go back inside, the young woman slipped and screamed when Jack hugged her. This attracted the attention of the crew members, who came running to help. They found Jack and Rose on the ground, seeing this fact both men assumed that Jack was attacking Rose and called Caledon. Cal tried to arrest Jack and showed his contempt for the third class passengers, calling Jack "filthy", but Rose stopped and explained that Jack had saved her. Later, Cal reluctantly invited Jack to dinner with first-class passengers to see how the young man would fare in front of high society.
The next day, Rose went looking for Jack and found him on the deck, where they discussed their personal and private lives, as well as Rose's unattainable dreams. Rose was able to see some great designs that Jack had drawn and was amazed by them. Later that day, Jack showed Rose how to "properly spit" until she was greeted by her mother, the widowed Ruth DeWitt Bukater, who had Rose ready for dinner that night.
Seeing the poor lad, Molly Brown, a grumpy, good-hearted passenger, took Jack to her suite and lent him a tuxedo originally intended for her son. At dinner, Jack wowed the first-class passengers at the table with his witty jokes and fascinating stories about his life.
Relationship with Rose[]
Before leaving the table where he was, he left a note in Rose's hand that read, "Make it count. See you at the clock." Rose met him and joined him at a third-class crew party, but they were secretly watched by Spicer Lovejoy, Cal's servant.
The next day, Rose confronted her mother, who asked her not to see Jack again due to her engagement to Cal, and the benefits marriage would bring them both. Jack noticed this and borrowed a passenger jacket to talk to her without being noticed. Rose asked him not to see her anymore, because she was engaged and that would cause complications. But after Jack "opened his eyes" to what Ruth and Cal were turning her into, a young woman attached to a certain class standard, Rose found him at the tip of the ship's bow, and together they shared their first kiss at dusk. on April 14. Rose then asks Jack to draw her naked, wearing nothing but the Heart of the Sea necklace. When the drawing was done, Rose put the necklace, a gift from Cal, back in the safe, and was soon after. chased with Jack by Lovejoy, through the interior of the ship. The couple ventured into the cellar passing through the "boiler" room, arriving at a room where some "luxury cars" were being taken in the cargo area and they made love in the back seat of a Renault brand cachila of the year 1904.
On April 14, at 11:40 p.m. m., Rose informed Jack that she would disembark with him after the ship reached New York, and they both witnessed the ship hit an iceberg while on the bow. Jack and Rose realized something was wrong with the ship and went to tell Ruth and Cal, though the attempt served to frame Jack for theft for stealing her necklace and arrest him. Later, after the launch of the lifeboats began at 12:55 a.m. m., Rose found Jack in a rapidly flooding room. He was handcuffed to a post, but she used a fire ax to free him after failing to find a spare key, because Lovejoy had taken another. They find Fabrizio and Tommy behind a door closed by two crew members. Jack sits nearby and, with the help of Fabrizio, Tommy and another passenger, they destroy the bars, allowing the release of some passengers in a heroic act. On the deck of the ship, Jack tries to find a lifeboat for himself, Rose, and their friends, and when he doesn't, he sends Fabrizio and Tommy to the other side of the ship to find lifeboats for the four of them. However, the latter are ultimately killed when the ship's funnel falls on them. He then realizes that the crew is putting women and children first, and encourages his partner to get into one of the boats along with Cal, who shows up.
When Rose enters lifeboat #2 to escape the shipwreck, in an effort to prevent losing Jack, she jumped back onto the ship and fled from being shot by an angry Cal who chased them through the ship with a revolver meant to kill them. . Jack and Rose have escaped from Cal, and after a brief fight with Lovejoy, they find a boy crying and waiting for his father to return. In an effort to save him, Jack took the boy, though the boy's father came and was furious at Jack for taking his son. He took the child and left, and two doors opened due to the pressure of the water, causing the couple to be carried away by a current and trapped in a door. His last hope was a terrified butler with a key to unlock the bars, but he dropped the key into the water and ran for his life. Jack took the key, managed to open the door and led Rose back up to the upper deck.
As the angle of the Titanic rose around 2:15, Jack and Rose rushed to the stern of the rising ship, making all the passengers catch something in an effort to avoid falling off the ship, which minutes later broke in two. large pieces and sank.
Death[]
After the Titanic completely sank at 2:20 a.m. on April 15, Jack was able to find a door ripped off the ship, floating in the water, leaving Rose on top of it as hundreds of people crashed into the waters. icy North Atlantic. He couldn't find anything else to climb on and began to freeze in the icy water.
In his last moments, Jack told Rose that no matter what happened, he didn't want her to lose hope and that if she stayed in the door, Rose would be fine and live a long and happy life in the future and told her "promise me." Jack died of hypothermia, and Rose released his body from the door so she could reach a crewman who had a whistle so he could call a lifeboat that was circulating "searching for survivors" among the corpses, and eventually Jack sank to the bottom of the ship. ocean. For unknown reasons, there was no record of Jack aboard the Titanic, possibly due to his not having legally purchased his tickets and not checking in upon boarding. As for Rose, she was rescued shortly after her lover sank, by one of the ships, and survived the shipwreck.
