Jabin II was King of Hazor during the 13th century. A descendant of Jabin I, who had fought against Joshua during the late 15th century BC, Jabin oppressed the Israelites from 1305 to 1285 BC, driving the Jews into hopeless despondency in what they perceived as punishment from God for their sins. In 1285 BC, Jabin's oppression of the Israelites ended at the Battle of Mount Tabor, where his army was destroyed and his general Sisera killed.
