
Joshua Frederick Cockey Talbott (29 July 1843-5 October 1918) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MD 2) from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1885 (succeeding Charles B. Roberts and preceding Frank T. Shaw), from 4 March 1893 to 3 March 1895 (succeeding Herman Stump and preceding William Benjamin Baker), and from 4 March 1903 to 5 October 1918 (succeeding Albert Blakeney and preceding Carville D. Benson).
Biography[]
Joshua Frederick Cockey Talbott was born in Lutherville, Maryland in 1843, and he served in the Confederate States Army's 2nd Maryland Cavalry, CSA during the American Civil War. After the war, he became a lawyer in Towson, and he served in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1885, from 1893 to 1895, and from 1903 until his death in 1918, as well as Insurance Commissioner of Maryland from 1885 to 1893. He died in 1918.
