Ivanhoe Hauser (died 1979) was a Klansman from Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Biography[]
Ivanhoe Hauser was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and he became a white supremacist and a Klansman under Walter Breachway. In 1979, the Colorado Springs Klavern was infiltrated by undercover cops Ron Stallworth and Flip Zimmerman, with Stallworth pretending to be white in order to join the Klan via telephone, while Zimmerman represented "Ron Stallworth" in person. Zimmerman befriended Hauser, and, soon, the Klansmen planned to bomb a civil rights rally. The two cops worked together to expose the Klan's plot, and the Klan was ultimately forced to settle for the assassination of Black Power activist Patrice Dumas. The plot went awry when the Klansmen detonated the bomb while parked next to Connie Kendrickson's car, where the bomb had been hidden without notice after Connie failed to fit the bomb in Dumas' mailbox.
