Ivan Fioletov

Ivan Timofeevich Fioletov (1884-20 September 1918) was a Bolshevik revolutionary and one of the 26 Baku Commissars, a group of revolutionaries who were executed by the White Army.

Biography[]

Ivan Timofeevich Fioletov was born in 1884 in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russian Empire, and his family moved to Baku in 1890. Fioletov worked as a metalworker and joined the Bolsheviks during the 1905 strikes in Baku and Grozny, becoming involved in the communist revolutionary movement. In 1918, he became one of the 26 Baku Commissars, and he helped in governing the Baku Commune. On 20 September 1918, he was executed by White Army troops while trying to escape the falling city of Baku.
