The Israeli Labor Party, also known as HaAvoda in Hebrew, is a social democratic party in Israel that was formed on 23 January 1968. From 1968 to 1977, all Israeli prime ministers belonged to the Labor Party, and the party advocated a peaceful solution with Palestine during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In 2011, there were 67,000 members of the party, and Chaim Herzog's son Isaac Herzog led the party in opposition to Benjamin Netanyahu's conservative Likud party.
