The Israel Border Police, also known as the Magav, is the border police of Israel that has also operated as law enforcement in the West Bank and Jerusalem. With 8,000 soldiers and officials, Magav has been responsible for fighting against Hamas and other terrorist groups from Palestine since its 1953 formation, and it has worked in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in counter-terrorism.
