Isle of Sgàil, 2020
The Isle of Sgàil is a private island located in the Orkney archipelago off the coast of Scotland, United Kingdom. The keep on Sgàil was once used by the British Empire in the 17th century to store taxes, before being transformed into a prison for aristocrats that could not be executed. During the Cold War, MI6 used Sgàil as a black site for holding Soviet spies; this included Janus, though he was released after a week with MI6 remaining unaware that he was the top spymaster for the KGB.
Shortly after the end of the Cold War, and after the MI6 black site was rendered defunct, Sgàil was purchased by Janus for the Ark Society as a meeting place to showcase new technologies, ideas, and breakthroughs. In 2020, ex-ICA agent 47 infiltrated the island with the assistance of his handler Diana Burnwood, his genetic brother Lucas Grey and hacktivist Olivia Hall, in order to assassinate Sophia and Zoe Washington, obtain the Constant Arthur Edwards' killswitch, and capture Edwards. This was done without a hitch, with 47 executing intercepted contracts on Miranda Jamison and Jimmy Chen to procure extra money for his war against Providence.
