The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, also known as the Al-Muqawama al-Islamiyah fi al-Iraq, was a coalition of Iranian-backed Iraqi Shia paramilitary groups that was formed in 2020 with the objective of evicting the American military presence from the Middle East. The IRI's brand was coordinated by Iran's IRGC-Quds Force, and Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba publicly affiliated itself with the IRI on 30 October 2023.
