Isis was an Ancient Egyptian deity and the goddess of fertility, health, and rebirth. The daughter of Geb and Nut, she was the sister of Osiris, Set, Nephthys, and Horus, the consort of Osiris, Min, Serapis, and Horus and the mother of Min, Horus' four sons, and Bastet. She resurrected her slain brother and consort Osiris and produced and protected his heir Horus, and she helped the dead enter the afterlife as she had helped Osiris. Mortals also prayed to her for her healing powers, and she played a prominent role in funerary practices.
