Isiah Friedlander

Isiah Friedlander is a Los Angeles psychologist, author, and radio host. In 2013 he wrote a book about his former patient, Michael De Santa.

Biography[]

Isiah Friedlander was born in Los Angeles, California to a Jewish family, but he later converted to Buddhism and became a psychologist after graduating from UCLA in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and acquiring his doctorate in psychology in 1986. He worked as a psychotherapist and media personality, and he became a keen model boat enthusiast. He was widely praised for exposing the culture of narcissism among 1980s gangsters in Los Angeles, and he dealt with sociopaths from both the criminal and celebrity worlds. Friedlander would go on to have criminal Michael De Santa as one of his patients, and he charged exorbitant rates for sessions while caring little about his patients.

In 2013, he was offered his own television show after writing a bestseller book about his interactions with "Marky De Santos", and he decided to leave Los Angeles. De Santa discovered Friedlander packing up after he arrived at his office for a therapy session, and he told De Santa that he needed to find a new therapist, and implied that he would be using his story on the television show. De Santa tried to chase Friedlander and kill him, afraid of him revealing more about his criminal life without his permission, but ended up losing him.

Nine years after starting his radio program and TV show, Friedlander founded the FriedMind Pharmaceutical Corporation, at some point before the year 2023.
