Isaac Dutton Barnard (18 July 1791 – 28 February 1834) was a US Senator from Pennsylvania (D) from 4 March 1827 to 6 December 1831, succeeding William Findlay and preceding George M. Dallas.

Biography[]

Isaac Dutton Barnard was born in Aston Township, Pennsylvania in 1791, and he grew up in Chester and Philadelphia. He served in the US Army as a captain during the War of 1812, and he became a lawyer in 1816. From 1820 to 1826, he served in the State Senate, and he served in the US Senate from 1827 to 1831, when he resigned due to ill health. He died in 1834.
